2013 ThreeA 3AA Membership Package.

ThreeA a toy company which comprises of Toys Designed By Artist Ashley Wood is currently in it's 5th year of Membership.
2013 membership drive was conducted on the 15th Jan 2013 (HKG Time: 9 am ) and application lasted for 24th Hours. The usd 180 package includes of a 15% toy discount for all purchase at www.bambalandstore.com & a box of merchandise which are made up of print's, tee shirt & 1/6 figure...

Fast foward 4 months, on the 10th of May 2013, my member ship package finally arrived. I have to agree that this is the best 3AA package ever. Initially during the pre-order stage, I was a bit skeptical on the Blanc Hunter figure. I honestly didn't like how the figure looked in the promo picture. It seems to have an worn out Olive drap color which wasn't appealing. The final product came out better IMO, it was weathered white and could blend with the other white based 3A figures I owned.

ThreeA, 3A, Re-Venture (RVHK) April 27th to May 4th 2012

I have been contemplating on going to 3A Reventure in Hong Kong for the pass few months. At a point I was even sure I wasn't going at all. Hong Kong during that period was so impossible the hotel rates were very high. Somehow surprises comes in many forms, my RVHK related happiness came in a form of an Invitation card for the RVHK Party on the 27th April 2012..

The rest is history, everything fell into place. Manage to pack my bags and looking forward to visit Hong Kong again & attend RVHK.

ThreeA, Reventure Party Invitation Card

2 of the 4 TK masquerade mask given (Kenshiro-Orange/ Kiba-Black/ Hideo-Yellow & Aki - Black w/o beard). I was lucky that my loving wife accompanied me to the event. We even had Ashley Wood put his signature on it.

Upon entering ThreeA central, we were greeted by a wall of figures released from their 4 yrs catalog (Not shown). One of the spectacles that greeted us on the left was the 1:1 lifesize Peaceday Dropcloth from Ashley's WWR series. It is accompanied my his trusty side kick, the peaceday Mk1 square. 

Here is a quick rundown of what seen on Party nite, 27th April.

A) Nom de Plum & TK Baka made an appearance. The TQ came too (not pictured)

B) 1:1 severed Leg, one of the 4 that was displayed.

C) Giant Kitty stood protecting the back of the room.

D) The wall of 3A figures, featured are Fantome de plume, RVHK Hideo, EMGY Trooper & one of Audrey's severed foot.

Haven't been excited to do my rendition of an Ashley Wood character since JC Palm Sunday. I was totally pumped to have a clean and basic monotone colors. A simple rendering in Black & white, I even added some streaks of white & black lines to represent a little motion blur.

3A Zaku from Ashley Wood, C3 Hong Kong 9-11 March 2012

C3 Hong Kong 2012,
Dates: March 9th -11th 2012
Lacation: Hong Kong Convention & Exibition Centre.

3A X Bandai’s Zaku is a colab 1/48 scale figure reimagined by Ashley Wood. 3A’s Zaku’s project was first unveiled in last years, 2011 C3 event.


Ashley Wood was originally scheduled to be featured in last year’s C3 event but unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances could not make it .

Fast forward 12 months later, Zaku have arrived. Limited quantities were made available for the show. Lucky attendees who did not pre-order the Zaku from 3A’s bambaland.com or 3A retail distributes were able to purchase their figure for the show. Making them the first few to own this gigantic & mammoth toy.

ThreeA 3A, MK2 Andy & MK1 Squaro..Andy Wahol 'Brillo' Inspired.

Just got the 2 pcs WWR MK2 Andy on the 07th March 2012. These are the latest toys shipped from ThreeA toys (3A). ThreeA toys are founded by Comic Illustrator Ashley Wood & Toy manufacturer Kim.


“The Square² (or Square) is a small support robot in the WWR Universe. Variations of the Square² have also made an impact in the civilian sector including emergency logistics and light cartage.”

Current featured review are the MK2 Square Andy (Squaro), from Ashley Wood / 3A, World War Robot (WWR) series. Released for pre-order on the 24th Dec 2011, priced at USD 65.00. The Toy’s production had already pre-determined so items did stay at the store for too long. I remember that they lasted about 30 min at the store.
The MK2 Sq’s are the 2nd variation to 3A’s ever popular MK1 square, as seen here (short legged lil fella). They consist of many fraction, the ones featured here are the “Squaro” version. Inspired by Andy Warhol’s Brillo works. Ashley wood is a known admirer of Andy Warhol’s art & works. Coincidentally, they even share the same initial (AW).
Back to the toy’s, Both featured MK1 & MK2 Squaro’s are 1/6th Scaled & sold together with 10” X 10” prints. Mk1 Squaro : Is a SDCC 2011 exclusive made for sale only at Toy Tokyo’s booth, it has a limited run of 100 pcs with a price tag of USD 55.00.
As you can see both square versions spots similar motif & designs. The only obvious difference are their physical attributes. I prefer the Squaro’s overall designs, it’s color & weathering is different from the other WWR fraction. I also like how it represents pop culture & itself is an iconic integration on to a 3A toy..

Action Portable Tomorrow King

The First unveiling of the Action Portable TK (APTK), all 8 favourite classic TK available. These will be distributed at randoms to the lucky customers whom had pre-ordered the figures back in September 2010.

Each APTK comes with a regular 1/6 bothead.

(3A) ThreeA Old School Shit Sale

1st Nov 2010, is not only known as the day that F***It 2 drop at Bambaland & Bambasia but also the day the Ashley decided to do some much needed stock clearance at the 3A HQ. Sales was held at Bambalandstore, Most of the available toys are from the previous drop. Surprise drop start at about 9.00 pm HKT and lasted till 8.00 pm.I have listed the toys available and the order of appearance. Estimated interval of items appearance is about 5 min till the next one, the last entry came in about 30 min after.

In between the drops, Ashley Wood gave some lucky boardies the chance to own some rare grails.

3A Ashley woods, F**K It, Book 2

The 1st Pre-Order from 3A publishing.

The follow up issue to Ashley wood FI was originally released by IDW. Since establishing 3A printing, Ashley wood had re-released the “magazine” in 12” x 12”, hardcover book. FI is serialized sketchbook, which showcase’s his Ink sketches, comic and painting.
