Galtan Revisited

Time to revisit my favourite Japanese monster the Galtans. These are estimate 3" and comes attached to chains. It was an exclusively released by Kaiju Taro back in 2008.

Galtan Updates

It's been a busy year for all of us. A new economic downturn is kicking in and a global crisis expected. We still turn to our simple pleasure of hobbies to keep us sane.

Like every great policies, inventions, mechanics, stories or even music, it starts with an idea. The evolution for an idea, like some might say, closely resembles a calm water with a simply toss of a stone creates a ripple of various degree and size.
Exohead is no different to that mentioned steady clam waters, his Galtan is the idea, the ‘stone’ that has created the, ‘ripple’ which had brought many variations and sales opportunity to eager vinyl addict. In this day of ours, where electronic media reign supreme, much blitz has been paved to allow medium enterprises to boost it sales. Who benefits, buy ? retailer? Only diehard cult follows will be the undisputed champion.
My opening caption was an explanation, simply put to show no matter how low the version churned or how obscure the retail venue is. Cult follower will eat it up, even in the secondary markets.
First up, A 10”Galtan distributed by it maker Zollmen, sculpted by Exohead. Made available for sale on the 9th December 2007, Sold in a small shop in some tucked away corner of Tokyo, Japan. The shop name is Jyarinco, this approach is not new to the shop. Months earlier they did a similar exclusive with one of RealXhead vinyl flagship characters.
Jyarinco, 10”Galtan is sprayed with smoothed calmed colors of winter. It’s base light green & sparing silverish/yellow sprays is a far cry compared to the demented ones released earlier by Garimpo. The figure retailed at JPY 8,000 is the best colorway so far.
